Information for guests impacted by the current snow conditions

RESORT UPDATE AS OF FRIDAY 25TH AUGUST

What is the situation with the current snow conditions?

Unfortunately, Mother Nature gives, then she takes away! 

While it was fantastic to see fresh snowfalls at Selwyn last Friday, unfortunately a heavy rain event on Sunday washed away all of the snow we had received. 

Our Mountain Operations Team continue to be on standby to make snow every chance we can and we are ready to re-open as soon as conditions allow.

What happens to my pre-booked products for the period you are closed?

TOBOGGAN PASSES
If you purchased a Toboggan Pass to use on a date the resort is closed, you have the option to either receive a credit valid for the 2023 season or obtain a refund.

FULL PRICED LIFT TICKETS
If you purchased a full price lift ticket to use on a date the resort is closed, you have the option to either receive a credit valid for the 2023 season or obtain a refund.

TICKET MANIA & BLACK FRIDAY VOUCHERS

We understand that the abnormal snow conditions we have experienced this season mean that our valued guests have not had as many opportunities as they usually would to utilise their Black Friday and Ticket Mania vouchers.  With that in mind, Selwyn Snow Resort have made the decision to extend any unused vouchers to also be valid for the 2024 snow season!

We believe this outcome gives our guests the ultimate flexibility of being able to utilise these vouchers between now and the end of the 2024 snow season, while also upholding our company values of delivering the most affordable snow experiences in NSW.  

You don’t need to take any action to have these vouchers extended, it will happen automatically at the end of the 2023 season.

Please note that these products remain non-refundable.

SNOWSPORTS LESSONS
If you have a Snowsports Lesson booked on a date the resort is closed, you have the option to either receive a credit valid for the 2023 season or obtain a refund.

RENTAL GEAR
If you have Rental Gear booked on a date the resort is closed, you have the option to either receive a credit valid for the 2023 season or obtain a refund.

What if I have a 2023 Season Pass?

We understand that due to the variable snow conditions this winter, our 2023 Season Pass holders have not been able to maximise the use of their passes.  With that in mind, Selwyn Snow Resort have decided to offer all 2023 Season Pass holders a significant discount on their 2024 Season Passes.  While the final discount hasn’t yet been calculated as the season is still underway, the resort will offer a Season Pass holder a corresponding discount on their 2024 Season Pass based on the number of days lifts operate this season. 

For example, if lifts have operated 50% of the time between the June & October long weekends then guests will be offered a 50% discount on their 2024 Season Pass.

Guests will be contacted with more detail following the conclusion of the 2023 snow season, once the correct discount can be calculated.

 How do I obtain my credit/refund?

Guests will automatically receive an eligible credit for any products pre-booked, unless you email a Refund request to [email protected] within 10 days of your scheduled arrival.

I’ve emailed Selwyn Guest Services, why haven’t I heard back yet?

Rest assured our Guest Services team are working as quickly as they can to process your emails, but we ask for patience while we work through a significant influx of emails.

Please allow at least 10 business days for our Guest Services team to process any requests.

Why can’t I get a refund for a Black Friday or Ticket Mania voucher?

Black Friday and Ticket Mania vouchers are heavily discounted tickets that are valid for use across the entire 2023 snow season.  Selwyn Snow Resort is only able to offer such heavily discounted tickets (up to 79% cheaper than the One Day lift ticket price at other NSW snow resorts!), on the basis that these products have set Terms & Conditions regarding their use.

Black Friday and Ticket Mania vouchers are clearly identified as non-refundable at the time of purchase, on the basis that they offer the ultimate flexibility of being valid to use at any time during the 2023 snow season.  It’s also important to remember that Black Friday and Ticket Mania vouchers can be redeemed by anyone, not just the person who purchased them.  This means they can also be shared and used by family or friends.

While Selwyn Snow Resort has agreed to extend any unused Black Friday or Ticket Mania vouchers to be able to be used for 2024 snow season, the vouchers remain non-refundable.

What happens if I have pre-booked products for a future date?

Selwyn Snow Resort continues to assess snow and weather conditions on a 4-hourly basis and will resume lift operations as soon as we are able to.  In the event the resort hasn’t reopened for the dates you have booked products for, the policy above will also be applied to your booking.
