What payment methods do you accept?
Payment can be made by credit card (Visa or Mastercard), debit card and cash. Please note that we do not accept personal cheques.
Do you have an ATM?
Yes, it is located in the Selwyn Centre.
Where can I purchase my National Park Entry Pass from?
You can pre book this with the Selwyn Accommodation Centre, or drop on the day of your visit. You can purchase one at the National Park Entry Station on the Link Road on your way to Selwyn too.
How much is the entry into the National Park?
The daily rate is $29.00 per car per day. Multi day passes are also available.
Can I get a refund on lift passes not used?
Refunds are not available on any unused products.
What happens if I am late for my lessons?
Lessons missed will not be rescheduled or refunded. Please make sure you allow enough time to travel to the resort, and collect any rental equipment.
What happens if I cancel my reservation?
If you cancel more than 30 days before your arrival date, you will be issued with a credit valid for 12 months from your original Arrival Date (Snow Cheque).
If you cancel within 30 days of arrival, there is a 100% cancellation fee and no credit is due.
SSR will not be held responsible for costs, loss of deposits and payments made or other fees incurred due to cancellations, medical conditions or changes to travel plans. No packages will be transferred to the following year.
Where do I go to pick up my pre-paid package/organise my lift tickets, lessons & hire when I arrive at Selwyn Snowfields?
Your first port of call when you arrive at Selwyn Snowfields should be the Rentals Centre which is the building closest to the main carpark. The friendly team at the Rentals Centre can organise all of your equipment hire needs, lift tickets and even book all your Snow Sports School lessons. They can also fulfil your pre-paid snow package and sell snow tube tickets.
I have a group lesson booked for 9.30 am. Where do I need to go?
After you have picked up your tickets and hire, then make your way to the Snow Sports Meeting place behind the fence in front of the Selwyn Centre. You will notice the brightly coloured banners describing different class levels such as First Time Adult Snowboarding or Skiing etc. Find the one that matches your lesson type and class level (this information will be displayed on your lesson voucher).
If you are booked into a private lesson, head to the same area but find the sign that says Private Lessons. Your instructor will call out your name when it is time to go.
You should try to be at the meeting place 10 minutes before your lesson start time.
My 5 year old is booked into Snow World. Where do I take him/her to drop him off?
On the Rentals side of the Selwyn Centre there is a set of double doors with a big blue sign above it that says Selwyn Snow World. Go inside and register with one of the Selwyn Snow World Team Members to drop him/her off.
When will it snow?
Natural snowfalls typically occur from June to September. Weather conditions are unpredictable, but keep any eye on the forecast. Selwyn has an extensive snowmaking system to add to the natural cover whenever possible.
What if there is no snow?
If, due to snow conditions, there are no lifts operating at SSR 24 hours prior to the date of your arrival, you may choose to receive a credit (snow cheque) or full refund on all SSR products booked.
This snow guarantee only applies if no lifts can be operated due to lack of snow on the major trails they service. The guarantee does not apply if lifts are on wind-hold (ie: Unable able to be operated due to high winds, low visibility or a combination of these weather elements) or undergoing temporary maintenance.
How do I find out what the conditions are like?
There are plenty of ways you can stay up to date with our current conditions. If you have Internet access you can keep an eye on our daily snow report and snow cams. If you don’t have internet access then you can always call our main phone number on 02 6454 9000 24 hours a day and listen to our latest snow report. If you are in the area, tune into 97.7 Snow FM for hourly updates.

Do I need to carry chains?
If you are in a 2 wheel drive vehicle you must carry chains inside the National Park from June and October long weekend. Weather conditions can change quickly and may be required at anytime. 4 wheel drive vehicles are exempt.
When do I put chains on my car?
There will be signs or police vehicles alerting you to pull over in the chain fitting bays to fit chains if and when they are required.
Where do I hire chains from?
Chains can be hired from most local Service Stations in the Snowy Mountains.
Where can I toboggan?
Selwyn Snow Resort has a dedicated area for tobogganing. Tobogganing is not perminted in any other area other than the Snow Park.
Do I need travel Insurance?

What time do the ski lifts open?
The first lift opens 8.30am.
Do you have a lost and found?
Yes, it’s located at the Information Desk in the Selwyn Centre.
Do you hire gloves or goggles?
No, for hygiene reasons we are unable to hire gloves, hats and goggles, however all of these items are sold in the Igloo Shop inside the Selwyn Centre.
Do you have any parents facilities?
Yes, it is located in the Selwyn Centre.
