Department of Education and Training (DET) guidelines for Snow Sports

On 23rd August 2011, the NSW Department of Education and Training released a set of guidelines for school conducting excursions where students will participate in a Snow Sports activity.

Selwyn Snowfields strongly recommends that all schools reads and fully understand these guidelines prior to making a booking.

To assist you in your planning, Selwyn Snow Resort has prepared a comprehensive Risk Assessment Information Sheet for Schools.

Snow Sports School Information

Lift & Lesson Packages for School Groups include a 2 hour Snow Sports School lesson on each day of the consecutive package. These lessons must be organised each day with Selwyn's Group Coordinator. According to DET guidlines all first time/level 1 skiers must have an additional 1.5 hour lesson on the first day on the snow to ensure students are skiing at a safe level.

Lesson Times

Lessons times are dependant on availability and cannot be guaranteed at a particular time until your booking is confirmed, lessons run at these times:
